Every month, the San Diego History Center opens its doors for some family-friendly fun that's hands-on and brain-friendly, helping you dive into our local community's past. This time around, we're diving deep into the world of African American story quilts with a little help from the amazing San Diego artist Faith Ringgold, known for her vibrant and powerful works.

Bring the whole clan and get ready to stretch those creative muscles as you decorate your very own paper quilt square. Armed with stickers, stencils, and patterned paper, unleash your artistic flair—whether that means crafting a masterpiece or simply doodling your lunch order. Either way, it's all about telling your story, one quilt square at a time, while hopefully avoiding the glitter explosion.
